ethiopian coffee speciality beethoven

Ethiopian Box Set

Our subscribers received this wonderful tasting set in their subscriptions this month. Two beautiful Ethiopian coffees from the same region – but differently processed. The Yirgacheffe Kochere is a crisp, clean and delicately sweet washed coffee and the Yirgacheffe Adado is a bold, juicy and cheekily childlike coffee. This box set gives you the chance to experience how different two coffees from the same region can be.

About the Yirgacheffe Kochere: A gentle breeze coats the morning, as the sun rises and you start to embrace the morning, the gentle scent of rose awakens the senses. The flavours of white grapes and turkish delight settle on the palate, their gently familiar sweetness taking you into a moment that envelops you. The taste of juicy, sweet litchi takes you back to childhood moments with the juice dripping from your chin.

About the Yirgacheffe Adado for filter: Close your eyes and take yourself on a trip to the school tuckshop. Strawberry fizzers give way to Super C’s in a burst of nostalgia, their effervescence gently settling on your tastebuds. A ‘grown-up’ shows up just in time to feed you real raspberries and they’re punchy and bright but sweet. If you are patient enough, some gummy sweets can be found hidden at the end of this cup.

About the Yirgacheffe Adado for espresso: This coffee reminds us that not all espresso is created equal.. Subtle acidity and florals are blown away by a pleasant truffle of strawberries and dark chocolate. Add a dash of milk, and it quickly brings to mind strawberry milkshake, dusted in some cacao served at your local cafe.

These two coffees will be sold side-by-side for the ultimate Ethiopian tasting experience please be sure to specify which roast (espresso or filter) you would prefer.

There are only a few sets of this coffee available, so get yours while they’re up for grabs!
